The journey was as expected organisation and directions at Union Station were good , staff on train very helpful , however our train was stopped on the track prior to Pickering for an hour.

It was not nearly as pleasant as other trips on Via Rail. The train was delayed which was understandable - but there was no communication as to where or when to line up. An employee said to me because I'm a Senior someone would help me with my luggage. The man when he came said," I only have two hands." and was helping two others. I had never asked for help in the first place. The employee with the snack cart went by without even asking me if I'd like anything. When I got off the train at Cobourg, I couldn't get my suitcase because the baggage area was screened. When I asked an employee for help in getting it, he berated me for putting my suitcase there...and told me I should have put it overhead. I have asthma, and had trouble even lifting my one bag overhead.
