Amtrak Seattle San Francisco recent customer reviews
It was fully booked and sometimes over-booked. My seat was not comfortable. I spend time in the observatory car. Minneapolis-Seattle ride was much better, even though it was delayed, took two days. The lady conductor was nice, let me sleep in an empty seat. But there was a mean, unhappy, young, tall, skinny conductor that treated me like he owns the train. He was mean, he told me to go to my seat after 22 hours and the seat was empty and he lied that it will be occupied. Other than that jerk, the ride was fun. I met a lot of awesome nice people, i took amazing photos. The landscape is amazing. But trainwise MN people are more professional, treat everyone equally. Here the most announcements were about the diner. Sleeping car passengers are superior. They hardly announced when to get fresh air. And yea i wont forget that jerk.

The seating in coach was very comfortable, check in went well, and very helpful. Issues with the cafe, microwave broke down, so no hot food quite early in the trip & then toilets were an issue. Apart from that staff were very helpful and pleasant
